# Intear API

The Intear API has prices, token data, charts, trades, transfers, balances and holders for every fungible token on NEAR. All of it comes live over one WebSocket, `wss://api.intea.rs/ws`, updated after every block, and the methods that answer once are plain HTTP too, at `https://api.intea.rs`. No API key is needed.

Before writing code, read [every page of the Intear API docs](https://docs.intear.tech/api/llms-full.txt), in one file. `https://api.intea.rs/schema` describes every method, field and limit, for checking a client against or generating types from.

## Rules

- Ask for only the fields you show, with `fields`. Tokens come as a table: `columns` once, then `rows` in the same order, with `account_id` first ([Tables](https://docs.intear.tech/api/guides/connecting.md#tables)).
- Over HTTP, a method that answers once has a path, like `GET https://api.intea.rs/tokens?ids=wrap.near&fields=symbol,price_usd` for `tokens.get` ([Using HTTP](https://docs.intear.tech/api/guides/http.md)).
- On the WebSocket, send a request like `{"id": 1, "method": "tokens.subscribe", "params": {"fields": ["symbol", "price_usd"], "ids": ["wrap.near"]}}`. The reply has the same `id`, and every update after it has `sub` set to that `id` ([Quickstart](https://docs.intear.tech/api/quickstart.md), [Connecting](https://docs.intear.tech/api/guides/connecting.md)).
- Tokens are their contract's account ID, like `wrap.near`.
- Amounts in a token's smallest units, like balances, supplies and trade amounts, are decimal strings. `price_usd` is USD per whole token.
- In trades, native NEAR is `wrap.near`. In balances and transfers it's `near`, in yoctoNEAR.
- Results and updates have `height`, the latest block they account for. Use it to pick up after a reconnect ([After a reconnect](https://docs.intear.tech/api/guides/connecting.md#after-a-reconnect)).
- To show history and then live updates without missing or repeating any, follow [History, then live](https://docs.intear.tech/api/guides/history-then-live.md).
- Trades and transfers take up to 100 tokens, listed in `token` or under `parent`, and refuse some combinations of filters, like `side: "buy"` without `token` or `trader`, or a transfers `token` with both `sender` and `receiver` ([Trades](https://docs.intear.tech/api/reference/trades.md#filters), [Transfers](https://docs.intear.tech/api/reference/transfers.md#filters)).
- Limits, credits and error codes are in [Limits and credits](https://docs.intear.tech/api/reference/limits.md) and [Errors](https://docs.intear.tech/api/reference/errors.md).

To swap tokens, use the DEX Aggregator: the `intear-dex-aggregator` skill, or [its docs](https://docs.intear.tech/dex-aggregator/llms-full.txt).
